By the design, our portable UIT solution allows for comfortable operation for extended periods of in-field time or on-site time in a range of work environments.
The generator comes with a series of useful features including a built in programmable logic controller (PLC) for intelligent control, easy user interface and data collection. You also have the power to program and establish quality threshold limits for operation control. Our portable unit's interface then enables data to be collected and downloaded for post treatment analysis and quality assurance data recording. For quality control purposes user can also, in real time, receive immediate threshold limit warnings when the system may need adjustments to the treatment process settings.
At the point of contact, the UIT portable tool delivers focused ultrasonic energy through a series of patented free-floating pins. During impact the metal surface confirms to the shape of the pins allowing them to acoustically couple the transducer with the metal being treated while resonating both at a single frequency. When this occurs the ultrasonic energy traveling from the transducer through the pins into the metal creates changes in the size, shape and orientation of the trains that form the structure of the metal.
Following treatment, beneficial compressive stresses are created near the surface and detrimental tensile stresses are relived to a depth of twelve millimeters.
Results of Ultrasonic Impact Technology include a significant extension in fatigue life, improvement in resistance to corrosion and increased hardness without loss in toughness.
